It was a hard, really hard day in the world of Haitian adoptions today. Nothing has changed for us, and while that is thrilling to say at the same time my heart is heavy for so many friends I have never even met in person but have become so close to. Families who were almost to the point of Passports found out they are now on hold again while changes are made in the system~so discouraging! Even one family adopting 2 babies where one baby made it out and ready for Passport and the other did not. So hard, so something we can relate to with the struggle of how hard and long Lovely's process was. Just praying tonight for peace,for strength and courage to keep holding on when it seems like things look so bleak.
Someone said "foster care" is not for the fainthearted....I would say neither is adoption. Worth it? YES! Take you to the point of almost giving up? Many times!
Thanks for just letting me share my heart tonight, no big fancy thoughts or words just the bare facts that sometimes when you say YES to doing the right thing your heart gets broken many,many times before you make it to that prayed for Homecoming day!
