We found out tonight just one of the ways our Father is taking amazing care of our daughter while we are apart. We are a part of an online support group of other families who have adopted from this particular orphanage or are adopting now, and as such get emails and photos etc. Well, tonight I got an email from a doctor who spent time at the Orphanage and this is what he told me:
He was actually AT the Orphanage WHEN Lovely Roseline was brought there! He told us that she appeared healthy-at first, but on day 3 he noticed she did NOT appear well! So, he was able to examine her and find that she had a very high fever and more than one infection.........and, he had the medications with him right then that she needed! He was there for several more days and spent much time with her, and continued to care for her and the other children. He reported that within a few days she began to get better and ever smiled! We saw that transformation in pictures we were getting, but did NOT know why she had not been smiling and then began to! WOW! It made me cry to know that while I can do nothing now but pray, and pray, and pray for my baby girl---that is actually NOT nothing, it is EVERYTHING! Thanks God for taking care of her so much better than I ever could, and can't wait to hold her myself!
P.S. In 11 days Jim WILL BE HOLDING HER HIMSELF!
How exciting, we will be counting down the days with you. What a precious sweet little girl. I am so happy she is happy and healthy, and being blessed with a doctor, and the right meds where she needs them. The power of prayer can not be underestimated! :)

ReplyDeleteAnd Jen, you know what a hard day today was---Carol, tell you about it sometime, but suffice it to say "in our line of work, we have some doosies!" And then God gave us this gift to end the day! I needed it for sure, for sure :-)
