As we wait anxiously for our sweet, sweet baby girl to arrive we had to say "see ya late, till we meet again" to my sweet "other brother" Anthony....my brother Douglas' partner of over 2 decades. So hard to have this mix of extreme joy and extreme sorrow. We wanted so much for our baby girl to arrive in time to meet Anthony. Anthony was Johanna (our angel girl for Haiti who was already in Heaven when he arrived) favorite Uncle! He had purple hair because it made her smile and laugh even when she was so sick, and she loved it and him!
Every baby that ever came into our home was rocked, and cuddled, and loved on by Anthony (Barney) and Unconditional Love was what they got from him!
Dannielle and he had their own very special and private realationship based on much laughter and sarcasm. We had nobody else do our hair for over 15 years, so when Dannielle's time to leave and go to Heaven also arrived Anthony himself had to do her hair. He gave her curls and but on the makeup, made her look all girly,and she would have hated it! :-) Then, he put her book on her chest and her pen in her hand and made it look like she had just fallen asleep while writing in her book, something he knew happened often!
When Julian went through his years of experimenting with his hair Anthony was right there with him, even making his hair purple for him too!
Some people think he was "not really my brother" or "my children's Uncle"
They are wrong.
We will love you forever, and tell sweet Lovely Roseline all about you!
