Another answered prayer!!!

We had been trying very hard to not focus on a really big issue that was urgent with our adoption paperwork so I had not mentioned it much here, but the answer came today so now I will tell the rest of that story :-)
Since our Adoption took so long on the Haitian side all of our USA paperwork and Fingerprints had or were about to expire! Meaning we had to frantically go about getting: new Biometric Fingerprints, New Criminal History check, New approval from USCIS for us to adopt (I600-A) including an update to our Home study (which can cost a large amount of money!!!) The first huge answer is that our HS Update was done for us free of charge.....another GREAT JOB GOD MOMENT!!! Then began the wait for all the new forms to come back, and the praying that our Update only would be good enough for USCIS. I Have watched the mail anxiously every day for answers and when I saw the official letter today tore it open! Those of you adopting know the dreaded pink slip, well that was the first thing that caught my eye, BUT it was NOT. A pink slip of denial of need more evidence I don't even know why there was a pink paper in the envelope because it was blank and the real letter was our new Approval to Adopt!!!! What does this all mean??? Well, it means that if last week Lovely's Passport and Visa had been ready we would have been stuck here waiting for our new paperwork........BUT TODAY, when that email/call comes that they are ready
( which really could be anytime in the next few weeks!!!!) We are all GOOD TO GO, AND GO WE WILL!
God has done such a great job of taking care of every detail but not one thing early, just every little thing right on time.
Excited, anxious, joyful, and humbly grateful tonight:
Shelly-Lovely's Mama
P.S. Coming soon: The Surprise Blog of "The rest of the story" of what God's been up to in our Family on the USA side of things.....just for a teaser let me say there truly is NEVER a dull moment in our lives!!!! More news coming soon ;o)

  1. Hello! I googled Haiti adoption blogs and found you. We are in the final process of our adoption from Haiti. It was final in Haiti on 9/14/11. We are waiting on the approval of our I600 on the US side. They said it takes approximately 60-75 days. We are on day 43. I would love to get in touch and find out any additional information you may have. My email address is jenniferbradley96@yahoo.com. Thank you,Jennifer
