4 MONTHS!

Wow, just writing that title BLOWS MY MIND!!! For more than one reason: 1. I can NOT believe we are at 4 months HOME! and 2. The last post was 3 months home.....meaning I am only finding a chance to blog once a month! :-) I guess from that truth you will realize that life is still B-U-S-Y!!! So much has happened in the last 4 months it's hard to even imagine it's only been 4 months! Life with toddler "Twins" keeps us going non-stop still every day from 5ish AM to 11 PM each night! I am happy to say that one out of two is sleeping through the night now and praying for the night when it is both! I suppose another reason I have been too busy to blog is that we've been Potty training. NOT my idea to start this at 3 months home, and 2 toddlers at a time! Would NOT recommend it :-) BUT Micah decided it was time and Lovely not wanting to be left out of the M&M rewards jumped in to the act too..........and, today we are both 99% trained-Phew! We are finding every day that we are now at more good days than bad days, more laughing than screaming, more loving on each other than trying to kill each other,more obeying than defiance (phew again!) And our home is returning to a place of calm and peace again......something that I know many of you have been praying with us about! Big Bro Elijah is still an awesome help and now that it is summer and he is home much more he and Lovely have become even closer and he is the built in entertainment center for both of the twins! Making tents out of blankets, horsie rides, helping build the tallest Duplo towers possible, hours of jumping with them on the trampoline, reading to them, and just being an all around awesome big bro! Many have asked how the Muffy(Elijah's dog Lovely was terrified of!) issue is going and I am super happy to say it is going great! Lovely and she will NEVER be best buds but they now at least tolerate each other and can be in the same room together without blood curdling screaming! Just now I even heard Lovely scream at Muffy "Muffy don't do that!" Then come running in to me, when I asked what Muffy had done she informed me "Muffy licked my face!" I told her "Oh, that's how Muffy gives Kisses" to which I was informed "Lovely no like Muffy kisses!!!" Hey, I don't wanna be kissed on the face by a dog either! :-) In the 4 months since HOME Lovely has: grown 2 inches and gained 2 pounds....and her feet have grown about 2 sizes! We have gone Strawberry picking for the first time for both Lovely and Micah. We were showered with amazing blessings at two wonderful Baby Showers!!! The twins have increased their hiking stamina to be able to now hike for over 2 miles! (Impressive for sure!) Learned to LOVE most fruits and even many veggies especially cucumbers and baby carrots. Learned to count to 15 in both Creole and English. Started learning how to write her name. Had her first meal out at a restaurant, a pizza place----and well, she now wants to go there daily! Learned to ride the trike friends from church gave us! Loves playing in the Sprinkler when we do get Sunshine in Oregon. Adores Library Story-time and sings along to almost all of the songs! Can't wait for Sunday School each week---thanks to the Awesome teachers we have! Had her first ever 4th of July as an American Citizen complete with Hot Dogs, cupcakes, water balloon fight, and fireworks that she did NOT like the smells, the sounds, or the lights! 4 Months! Wow!!!!! Hard to believe how much can happen in 4 short months! Can't wait to see what the next 4 months will bring!
